
Dre Kirkpatrick is officially a Bengal!
The Cincinnati Bengals have officially come to terms on a contract with first round pick Dre Kirkpatrick, a cornerback from Alabama. This is according to this tweet found on the Bengals official twitter account, “#Bengals announce the signing of first-round draft pick Dre Kirkpatrick.”
Kirkpatrick, who was the first of two first-round pick, was selected by the Bengals with the 17th overall pick, which was acquired by the team from the Oakland Raiders in the trade for Carson Palmer.
According to NFL.com, the deal between the Bengals and Kirkpatrick is for four years and is worth $8.6 million. In three seasons, two as a starter, playing for Nick Saban, the former Crimson Tide star registered 91 total tackles, three interceptions, 19 passes defensed, eight tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and had one defensive touchdown.
