The 2012 NFL season is right around the corner, yet for hardcore fantasy football owners the fantasy season and evaluation process has already begun.

A critical part of the team building process in fantasy football is the draft. To win in fantasy football, it is absolutely essential for owners to get good players in the draft, especially with their first few picks. Missing on just one or two early picks can cripple your roster, forcing you to rely on waiver pickups to replenish your roster. It is important to carefully evaluate each position by both it’s talent and depth to determine a comprehensive draft strategy.

These rankings do not necessarily reflect where each player will rank in overall scoring when the fantasy football season is all said and done. Instead, it is an evaluation of their value, weighing many factors including injury, offensive weapons, overall team strength,  competition for playing, risk and upside.
