Peyton Manning Looks Sharp Against San Francisco

While many fantasy football owners and NFL fans in general may have started questioning Peyton Manning’s ability to play quarterback, they are no longer and neither are the San Francisco 49ers.

In his third and most important preseason game with his new team the Denver Broncos, Manning looked like his old-self as he quickly and efficently led the Broncos on a pair of touchdown drives against the vaunted San Francsico defense that proved to be powerless to stop him.

In all, Manning competed 10-of-12 passes for 122 yards and tossed a pair of touchdown passes to new target Eric Decker. Manning also led the Broncos to a field goal on the opening drive of the game.

When Manning left the contest, Denver held a 17-0 lead over the defending NFC West Champions.

Fantasy Analysis:

While Manning had yet to throw a touchdown pass in his first two preseason games, Sunday was an example of vintage Manning.  The veteran quarterback finally started to look comfortable in his new surroundings and fantasy owners, who have already invested a pick in Manning have to be pleased and others, who have yet to draft might want to consider the four-time MVP, because he sure had the look of a QB1 on Sunday in Denver.
