Reggie Wayne is a top-10 WR in our FantasyPPR.com rankings this week.
It is week two of the NFL season and fantasy football owners everywhere should be preparing for a critical week as some owners look to improve to 2-0, getting a great start on a run to the playoffs, while others will be looking to avoid a dreadful 0-2 start.
In order to help owners playing in point per reception formats, this is the secondĀ installmentĀ of our PPR Fantasy Football week two rankings and in this article we will be focusing on the wide receiver position (The scoring format used is standard scoring plus a point per reception).
There are some very intriguing match-ups this week for wide receivers so before we look at the rankings here is a quick look at some of FantasyPPR.com’s most notable rankings this week.
Percy Harvin (no.6) – Harvin had a good week to open the season, notching 16 fantasy point with six receptions for 84 yards to go along with 20 yards rushing against Jacksonville. Yet, this week the matchup is even better as Harvin faces off against a Colts defense that gave up a ton of passing yards to the Bears in week one. Expect Harvin to haul in around eight passes for more than a 100 yards and a touchdown.
Reggie Wayne (no.10) Wayne had a big week to open the season against the Bears catching 9 passes for 135 yards. He has benefited in a big way from the addition of Andrew Luck and was targeted 18 times last week. He is a talented player still and with the volume of targets he is receiving is going to be a top-10 option this week. The Colts may not beat the Vikings but Luck will throw it plenty and the Vikings pass defense will be much easier to gain yardage against than the Bears.
Dwayne Bowe (no.18) Bowe was not great in week one, catching just 3 passes for 53 yards against the Falcons but he faces a Bills defense this week that surrendered three touchdown passes against the Jets less than stellar passing attack. So I would expect Bowe to find a way into the end zone in this matchup.
