New York Giants One of Four Teams Still Being Considered By Josh Cribbs

The Josh Cribbs tour is nearing its end, and Pro Football Talk reports that it’s down to four remaining teams: the Oakland Raiders, Detroit Lions, New York Jets or New York Giants.

Cribbs had previously met with the Giants, but left without a contract. He’s also already had visits with the Raiders and Jets, and arrived in Detroit this morning for a private workout with the Lions.

With Domenik Hixon now in Carolina and David Wilson likely to start at running back, the Giants find themselves in a precarious position. They’d ideally like Wilson to resume his kickoff return duties in 2013, but run the risk of injury with him out there. With Cribbs, it would allow them the opportunity to fall back on a proven veteran with a great track record.

Whether or not the former Cleveland Brown signs, you should expect to see Jerrel Jernigan and, possibly, Jayron Hosley in the mix as well.
